Throughout Africa, internet services are generally provided to the population in and around the large cities and towns and rural communities are often neglected. Furthermore, as many of the overlooked areas are often impoverished, internet services don’t reach the masses. In addition, the pricing structures of the nationwide providers of internet services, don’t take into account all the economic classes of the population which results in large numbers of community members being excluded from the information age due to either their economic circumstances or a general lack of service provision where they reside.
